One thing I have also noticed is unless you are blocking or attacking when you move your character turns in the direction you walk which is dangerous as IDK if the enemies get backstab bonuses like we do. I use the tower as it can absorb a large chunk of damage, I don't need to time it well and I can effectively block several targets at once. Also the best option for a tank in group battles so you absorb the beatings while your allies attack from flanks, behind the enemy or behind you with bows. That means if you are good at timing blocks the tower shield sucks but if you cant time it well or get into fights with several enemies at once the tower is the way to go. I love the tower shields, while they have no parry they have the highest block before the parry bonus factors in.
